Big Hair Care Step by Step!

I have really big thick hair, and so to keep it really soft and shiny, I do a couple of extra steps in and out of the shower.

1) Before I hop in the shower, I brush my hair with just a plain plastic bristle brush-the kind with the little buds on the ends so you don’t scratch up your head, upside down first, and then right side up.

2) I lather up my head with a good shampoo made with mostly, if not all, natural fruit, flower, and plant ingredients--and plus, they just make your hair smell sooo good! I squeeze out the big suds and brush through it all, rinsing well with just barely hot water.

3) Add a good conditioner that is, just like the shampoo, full of natural goodies. Brush through it all, upside down and right side up, and clip it up. Leave it set for 3-4 minutes.

4) Hum dee dum, wash wash wash, time’s up! Rinse conditioner out with warm water until almost all of it’s rinsed off, and then with coolerwater-this helps to flatten hair follicles so they’ll be shinier and less frizzy-all the while brushing through it.

5) Once every week or so, to keep my hair healthy, I use a moisture masque instead of conditioner, usually with a smooth serum you put on afterwards.

6) Hop out of the shower, brush through your hair again, right side up and then upside down, add your favourite hair product, brush again, and wrap it all up in a towel, turban-style.

7) Let it dry almost all the way, unwrap, towel-dry, brush through with fingers or brush, wrap it up again until it`s justbarely damp.

8) Unwrap, brush through, and style with a soft round brush and hair dryer on warm, then cool. Or, for a more tousled natural look, brush back, pull and twist into a loose bun-if you have longer hair, trydoing it like the Victorian ladies did--and clip it up. Let it dry andunclip to release soft, shiny, perfectly wavy locks.

Ok, so that’s more than a few steps...but it works!
